RDX Encourages Bethlehem Moravian College Students Previous item Beenie Man, Tommy Lee... Next item JBSB Provides More...

Dancehall recording artistes RDX have visited several Colleges on The Release Innovation Challenge Community College tour, but it was their words of wisdom at Bethlehem Moravian College that made a big difference. The duo stopped their performance to speak to the students about the importance of being innovative and continuing their education especially for entrepreneurial students.

This tour stop at Bethlehem Moravian Community College marks the 5th stop on The Release Innovation Challenge Community College Tour. “Education is all around us, not only in the classroom. We reminded them that us as RDX who are a success story in our profession can be taken as motivation that hard and smart work, dedication, focus and constantly learning can bring the students success too in whatever field they choose” said Renigade of RDX. Executive Producer of The Release, Joseph Moore shared “I have gained a greater respect for RDX because of this, we had our seminar before the concert, but I found that the students were especially motivated by RDX”.

The students and staff turned out in their numbers, Delomar of RDX expressed “I think the students were very receptive of our educational message being that we are successful and experience artistes who have travelled the world and came back with much knowledge to share. As a child I didn’t get the luxury of hearing my favourite artiste motivate me, so for us to give some encouraging words to a younger generation it’s easy, let’s do it for me. Thanks to The Release for the invitation to be included in this worthwhile venture; and I encourage all artiste to get involved if possible”. Along with RDX’s performance students enjoyed appearances from Marr, Bridgez, Crushal, Worldarama, Vyzadon, Chan Dizzy, Kym (formally Gaza Kym) and G Whizz.

This year The Release will be taking entries for their Innovation Challenge up to December 7, 2018 on their website www.thereleaseja.com. Students can visit the website to get the competition guidelines and more. The winning innovator will be awarded cash and prizes valued over $120,000.00 JMD. Weekly photo highlights of each Community College can be viewed in The Jamaica Observer, the official print media sponsor for The Release Innovation Challenge Community College Tour.
