Jamaica National Small Business Loan has raised the stakes for a lucky participant of business reality television series, The Innovators. The company that has been a proud sponsor of the show for the past 5 years normally awards a cash prize of $250,000 but has now doubled this figure and further added cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.
While The Innovators is not a game show, business moguls Yaneek Page and Gary Matalon believe in awarding the entrepreneur that has achieved business growth over the period of taping the show through following advice given, executing assignments as required, and improving their key performance indicators. The winning participant is chosen solely by the JNSBL team and their directors.
Yaneek Page, creator for The Innovators, now in Season 7 said “We’ve been working closely with our partners JN Small Business Loans to prepare our participants to be ready and fiscally responsible. The result is that they now have the opportunity to receive a special line of credit specific for MSMEs and additional cash prizes to expand their businesses and make an even greater contribution to their communities and our economy”. Further, Ockino Petrie, Marketing Manager from JNSBL shared “JNSBL has not only contributed to the cash prize but also in the form of workshops and mentorship for the entrepreneurs. Workshops were used to give entrepreneurs advice on financial management, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Additionally, startup and maintenance financial assistance is also given, whether it is a loan or otherwise”.
The Innovators was launched in 2012 and is in its 7th Season on Television Jamaica. The show has won several business awards and has been powered by Yello Jamaica. The Innovators can be followed on Facebook/TheInnovatorsTV and on Instagram and Twitter @TheInnovatorsJa
