Several schools are now submitting entry forms for one of the fastest growing band challenges among secondary schools in Jamaica. The Jamaica’s Best School Band (J.B.S.B) takes 16 bands throughout Jamaica, train and educates them in their fields and host competitions that will get your blood pumping.

With participating schools such as Ardenne High, Belair High, Camperdown High, Donald Quarrie High, Holy Childhood High, Jamaica College, Wolmer’s High for Boys to name a few in recent years, the JBSB is now eager to go bigger! Ms. Adriene ‘Rayven Amani’ Higgins of Jorja Events Media, planners of the event said “Often times if students are not a part of a school music program there is little chance of their music skills being developed. The Jamaica’s Best School Band Competition is needed to provide another platform for talented youth with the requisite skills to carry on Jamaica’s rich cultural legacy by nurturing, mentoring and awarding them”.

With mentors such as music icons Mr. Lloyd Parks O.D, Mr. Ibo Cooper, and Mr. Frankie Campbell to name a few the competitions aims to entertain and educate. The top schools are awarded with cash prizes and instruments. Other incentives for winners include inclusion in PR media campaigns (radio, television, print and web), appearances on major shows such as Taurus Riley and Friends, Rebel Salute, and Ocho Rios International Jazz Festival to name a few.

Companies with an interest in partnering with the event can contact Event Planning and PR Company, Taylor Made Event and PR Management for more information at 876-443-5100 or 669-5634.
